About Music Money Tracker

Clearer release finances for the people behind the music.

Music Money Tracker helps managers, labels, and artist teams understand income, costs, recoupment, and what may be payable, before money conversations become difficult.

Why we exist

Music money rarely arrives in a neat, easily explained format, and clarity is what keeps everyone on the same page.

Royalties come from different sources. Advances, marketing, and production costs need to be recouped. Splits and collaborator shares need to be handled properly. When the numbers are not clear, the pressure usually falls on the person responsible for explaining them.

We have seen how quickly unclear reporting can create pressure. When income, expenses, and recoupment are not easy to explain, even good working relationships can become strained. Music Money Tracker was created to make those conversations easier, earlier, and clearer, so the people responsible for the money can stand behind their numbers with confidence.

Clear numbers protect trust. MMT helps music teams explain release money before confusion becomes conflict.

What we are building

We started with the most immediate need: helping people work out what has come in, what has been spent, what has recouped, and what may be payable for a single release period.

Available now

MMT Release Tracker · £30
A focused spreadsheet for one release, one currency, and one statement period. Clear enough that anyone can produce a statement they can explain.

Coming next

The MMT App
A wider platform for teams managing multiple releases, repeat reporting periods, statement history, recoupment, and collaborator balances.

The tracker is where it begins; the app is where it is going.

What we believe

Clarity protects relationships

Most money disputes in music are not about dishonesty. They are about numbers nobody can explain clearly. Clear reporting protects trust before it is tested.

Speed matters

The right answer, available quickly, is worth far more than a perfect one that arrives too late. Fast, clear reporting keeps everyone confident.

Honesty about what a tool does

We tell you plainly what our products do and do not do. We would rather set the right expectation than oversell and let you down.

Built by music people

This is made by people who understand how music money actually works, not by outsiders guessing at the industry.

Who is behind it

Music Money Tracker is built by a small team with experience across artist management, music operations, finance tracking, and product development. We understand the pressure that comes with explaining money clearly in a creative business, and we are building tools that make that work easier. Music Money Tracker Ltd is a UK company, and you can always reach us directly at support@musicmoneytracker.com.
